Wayne Story brings 40 years of experience, with the last 15 spent as an accomplished CEO leading multiple PE-backed businesses, namely Civica, Equiniti and Equatex. More recently, Wayne was recruited to serve as Chair of Vivup, the UK’s leading wellbeing and employee benefits provider backed by Omni.
Wayne retired after seven successful years as CEO of Civica, transforming the company into a fast-growing, global GovTech software business with revenues of more than £500m. Under his leadership, in addition to impressive organic growth, the company also expanded its presence via inorganic growth, acquiring some 30 businesses. Civica’s accomplishments under Wayne’s management resulted in a successful sale to Partners Group. Wayne’s ability to identify and execute strategy has been further bolstered by his experience as Chair and NED of a number of other PE-backed businesses.
Phill Rowland joins Omni with over 30 years’ experience in finance. In his last role, Phill was the CFO of Civica. Phill spent 12 years at the company, where he worked closely alongside Wayne and the management team to increase Civica’s revenue from c. £150m to £500m and EBITDA from £24m to £111m through three cycles of private equity ownership. He played a key role in Civica’s acquisition strategy, from assessing value to raising funds through to driving the integration of the businesses.
