Oslo, 27 May 2026 – Omni Partners (“Omni”), the lower mid-market private equity investment firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Roald Hunvik as Partner to lead the firm’s Nordic investment strategy. Based in Oslo, Roald is Omni’s first hire outside the UK. His mandate is to extend the company’s reach to include founder-led businesses in the lower mid-market operating across the Nordic region. The Nordics offer a natural fit for Omni’s approach: a deep pool of profitable founder-led tech and tech enabled services businesses, strong digital maturity and an entrepreneurial culture aligned with Omni’s own.
Headquartered in London, Omni is focused on backing profitable founder-led businesses in specialist sectors. The firm invests its own capital, fully aligning itself with the founders and management teams it partners with. Having built multiple £100 million businesses within eighteen months of ownership, Omni brings demonstrable operational expertise, working closely alongside management teams to help turbocharge growth and create long-term value.
Roald will bring Omni’s operationally focused approach to the Nordic region, targeting fast growing, mission-led companies looking for their first institutional capital. Working closely with the rest of the Omni team, Roald will lead origination, execution and portfolio support across the Nordics, doing what he knows best: working alongside management teams to professionalise operations, refine go-to-market strategies and support international expansion.
Roald brings nearly two decades of experience advising, investing in and helping founders and management teams scale businesses across the Nordics. He joins from Monterro, the leading Nordic B2B software investor, with €3.1 billion capital raised and a portfolio of 30 companies. Roald joined Monterro when it was a 12-person team in Stockholm, establishing the firm’s Oslo office and its Norwegian market position. Monterro has since grown to approximately 75 professionals across five offices and is recognised as one of the leading B2B software investors in the Nordics.
Earlier in his career, Roald spent thirteen years at Alpha Corporate Finance, a leading Norwegian M&A advisory firm, building a deep network across the Nordic technology ecosystem. He began his career as a 1st Lieutenant in the Norwegian Armed Forces. Roald holds an MSc in Investment Management from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) in London and a BSc in Finance from BI Norwegian Business School.
